29% of New Minas businesses have no website
I measured. Every month my crawler checks 110 New Minas businesses across ten everyday categories and audits every website it finds. This page is what the data says, and what I build for the businesses that want to be on the right side of it.
New Minas is the Valley’s shopping strip: the retail and service businesses of half a county compressed into a few kilometres of Commercial Street. When everyone’s sign is on the same road, the tiebreaker moves online.
I don’t guess about the state of New Minas’s web presence: I measure it. The same crawler that keeps my own sites honest checks 110 local businesses across ten everyday categories, restaurants to roofers, and audits every website it finds for speed, mobile readiness, HTTPS, and the technical signals Google reads. The numbers on this page are from September 2026, and they refresh automatically.
Where New Minas businesses are losing online
- 44% of auto repair shops have no website at all: 8 of the 18 I checked.
- 33% of general contractors have no website at all: 5 of the 15 I checked.
- 31% of plumbers have no website at all: 5 of the 16 I checked.
- 13% of existing sites aren’t mobile-ready, on the devices nearly every local search happens on.
- 41% give Google no structured data, so search engines only half-understand what the business even is.
- 10% of listed websites are dead or unreachable, sending customers to an error page.
Aggregate numbers only: I never publish results for individual businesses. Want to know where yours stands? Run the same audit yourself, free.

Business email on your own domain included, flat written quote before any work starts, and everything happens remotely: phone, email, and Google Meet.

Questions from New Minas businesses
I compete with big-box stores on the strip. Can a website help?
It’s where you can actually win. The chains’ websites are national templates that say nothing about New Minas. A local site that answers local questions, stock, services, hours, who to ask for, takes the searches the big boxes can’t be bothered with.
Do I need online ordering?
Usually not at first. Most Valley retail searches end in a visit or a phone call, so the site’s first job is hours, location, and what you carry. Ordering can be added when there’s a real case for it.
Will my site and my Google listing match?
Yes, and they should: same name, hours, services, and structured data on both. That consistency is itself a ranking signal, and I set up both sides to agree.
