Is your website costing you customers?

The same automated checks I run across 7,083 Atlantic Canadian businesses every month: speed, mobile readiness, HTTPS, and whether Google can actually understand your site. Thirty seconds, no email required.

Run it now

About two dozen checks in five groups. Results in seconds; nothing stored, nothing published.

Why it matters

Every failure on that list costs real customers

Missing structured data means Google only half-understands what a business is, where it is, and when it opens, so it ranks the competitor it understands better. A missing meta description hands Google the job of writing your summary, and it writes a clumsy one, so the click goes elsewhere. A site that fails mobile checks breaks on the phones where nearly every local search happens. A dead link on a listing is worse than no website at all: it tells the customer the business might be gone. And a site without HTTPS gets branded “Not secure” in the address bar before a visitor reads a single word.

City-by-city numbers, restaurants to roofers, are live on the market pages. Aggregates only, always: no individual business is ever named.

Methodology

What the audit checks, and what it can’t

The audit fetches your homepage from Cloudflare’s edge network the way a first-time visitor’s browser would, then runs about two dozen checks in five groups. Reachability and security: whether the site answers at all, how fast the first response comes, HTTPS and the redirect and header hygiene around it. Mobile: the viewport and icon signals that decide whether the site works on a phone. Search: the title, description, headings, structured data, robots rules, and sitemap that determine what Google can understand and rank. Sharing: the link-preview and favicon details that make a shared link look like a business instead of a bare URL. Conversion: whether a visitor can actually tap to call or reach a form.

What it can’t see: JavaScript-rendered content, pages behind logins, and lab-grade rendering performance. It reads the page as delivered, which is also how most search-engine and preview crawlers read it. For most small-business sites, that first delivered page is where the problems live, and fixing the failures on this list moves the needle more than any score-chasing.

FAQ

Questions about the audit

Is it actually free? What’s the catch?

Free, no signup, no email address. It’s the same engine that powers my monthly regional crawl, and handing out honest audits is better marketing than buying ads. If the report convinces you something needs fixing, you know where I am.

How is this different from Google PageSpeed?

PageSpeed measures rendering performance in a lab. This audit checks the business-level basics first: is the site up, secure, readable on a phone, understandable to Google, and set up to convert a visitor into a call. Most small-business sites fail those before page speed ever matters.

What happens to the URL I enter?

It gets fetched once, from Cloudflare’s edge, the checks run, and the report renders in your browser. Individual results are never stored or published: the only numbers I publish are aggregates like the ones on this page.
