ERstat.ca: a live national data site, built and run in-house
Real-time emergency-room wait times for hundreds of Canadian hospitals, on infrastructure we built and operate. One piece of the portfolio, and a good look at how we build.
ERstat.ca shows Canadians how long the wait is at their local emergency room, updated continuously from official provincial sources. It started as a Nova Scotia project and now covers hundreds of hospitals across the country.
We designed, built, and operate the whole thing: the data pipeline that ingests and cleans wait times, the prediction model that fills gaps where live data is thin, the edge-rendered pages that stay fast under load, and the SEO architecture that gets those pages found. It runs on Cloudflare's edge with a serverless database.
